Irina Shabun

Carrying with her a passion towards helping others, Irina first became interested in the field of dentistry at the age of 12, after shadowing her own hygienist aunt. Just three years later, at the age of 15, Irina started community college and, at age 19, she was accepted into the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC! It was there where she studied and completed her dental hygiene training.

Irina has a gentle, yet thorough, approach to dental cleaning. She enjoys interacting with her patients while providing them with the quality of care they deserve. Irina believes that it is crucial for patients to understand the importance of proper oral hygiene and its impacts on a person's overall health.

Aside from dentistry, Irina’s greatest passion is in dancing. She even competed at Showstopper and won 1st place in the Jazz category. Though since retired from dancing after starting school at USC, Irina continues to remain active. She enjoys hiking & traveling, and is a mommy to the cutest fur baby, her bengal kitten, Leah.

Natesha Kumar

Born and raised in Sacramento, CA, she moved to LA to pursue her career in dentistry. She got her first B.S. degree in Clinical Nutrition at UC Davis, then pursued a master’s in public health at USF. Natesha then moved to LA to do her 2nd B.S. degree in Dental Hygiene at USC. She starting working at SMED as our Saturday hygienist in 2017, while in her 2nd year of dental school at USC. She is in her last year, and is excited to become a dentist, and may possibly pursue a residency in Pediatric dentistry as she thoroughly enjoys working with children. She is truly passionate about helping others and looks forward to seeing her regular patients at SMED and hearing their life changes. On her free time, she enjoys hiking outdoors, hot yoga, and really anything active and athletic. She is a dog mom to cute mini Australian Shepherd named Mowgli, who keeps her very busy.
