Megan, Dental Assistant
Megan moved to Los Angeles to attend UCLA and graduated with the Class of 2018. Her interest in dentistry flourished while being a member of the Pre-Dental Student Outreach Program (PDSOP) and by researching at UCLA’s Oral Biology Department. She hopes to provide you with the best clinical experience as the newest member of our team!
Jade, Dental Assistant
Hailing from Pasadena, CA, Jade could not resist the sunny Southern California weather and began her undergraduate studies at UCLA in fall 2014. She recently graduated with a B.S. in Psychobiology in spring 2018. Jade was heavily involved with the pre-dental community throughout her undergraduate career, serving as the President, Treasurer, and Fundraising Chair of Operation Smile and earning a Member of the Year award in Pre-Dental Student Outreach Program (PDSOP). When Jade isn’t working at SMED, she is busy saving lives as a Senior Lifeguard at UCLA Sunset Recreation Center. An avid surfer, Jade qualified for the USA Surfing Junior Olympics as a teenager but decided to pursue her passion for dentistry instead. As a future dentist, she hopes to instill confidence in her patients through their smiles. Jade will be starting her first year at the UCLA School of Dentistry this fall.
Stephanie, Dental Assistant
Stephanie was born in Los Angeles but moved to San Jose when she was four years old. She missed Los Angeles so much that she returned to attend UCLA and earned a B.S. in Psychobiology in 2019. In addition to academics, she also devotes a lot of her time to volunteering for underserved communities. She has shown great interest in art and healthcare from a very early age, so dentistry seemed like the best of both worlds for her. To alleviate the stress from school, Stephanie enjoys attending music festivals and working out.
Andrew Cabrera, Executive Dental Assistant
Andrew was born and raised in Sacramento, the home of the legendary Sacramento Kings. He graduated from UCLA's class of 2014 with a Bachelors of Science in Physiological Sciences and is currently a 2nd year dental student at UCLA. He previously was a research assistant at UCLA's Dental School in the Oral Biology and Medicine Division, and a Building Supervisor at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion. Andrew loves to be active and works hard both at work and at the gym. He spends his free time outdoors playing soccer, skiing, camping, and exploring the world. His dedication to work is only trumped by his desire to become a dentist. He has volunteered under many private dental practices as well as UCLA's Dental School, learning as much about the field as possible and even traveling abroad to Chiang Mai, Thailand as a dental assistant. Andrew loves working with all people and is passionate about forming strong relationships with new individuals. Andrew is currently attending UCLA Dental School.
